Service Book, by Tasaab
Terms
Draft for review, 8 October 2026 — not yet in force. This is a pilot on a test server; it will change before anyone else is invited.
These terms are between you and Tasaab LLC. By starting, claiming or using a Service Book you agree to them. The privacy page is part of them.
A pilot
The Service Book is a free pilot, open to homeowners in the United States. It may change, pause or stop. We will tell you before anything you saved is affected.
Your own home or facility only
Start or claim a Service Book only for a home you own, or for a building, property or facility you own or are authorized by its owner or organization to keep the record of. Invite only people who look after it with you, and only with their agreement. Don't try to open someone else's Service Book, use it to learn about the people who live in a home, or get around a sign-in. We may end access for anyone who does.
What the report is, and isn't
Your home's report is a feasibility screen built from public records. It is not a permit decision or approval, a survey, an appraisal, or legal, engineering or geotechnical advice. Nothing Tasaab produces is signed, sealed or approved; a licensed professional — an engineer, geologist, surveyor, or the city — must confirm anything before you rely on it. Public records can be wrong or out of date. Where something can't be settled from the record, the report says "not determined" and names what is missing; it never guesses.
Your Service Book
What you save is yours, and should be true as far as you know. Don't save anything about getting into the house (codes, keys, alarms); the Service Book refuses it. Photos you keep should be of your own house.
If you send your insurer a link, they see your 4-point summary (or, after a loss, the claim packet you made), as facts you kept with where each came from (including, under plumbing, what your book records against water damage, as recorded: it doesn't say the house is protected or qualifies for anything), and whether your ownership was checked by mail or is at your word, on the page and in the same page read as data or plain text: not an inspection, not a certification, not a 4-point inspection report. If your insurer publishes a contractor network, a job shows it beside the state's license list: listed by your insurer, checked against the state's record, not ranked, not paid for, and not a recommendation by Tasaab. Tasaab isn't part of your insurance, and what your insurer decides is between you and them.
If you send a listing link to a buyer's side, they see the same kind of facts, plus the kitchen and laundry, county permit records and what's missing: not an inspection, not a certification, and not a statement about condition. What a buyer decides is between you and them.
A remodeling project on a shared link is as you recorded it. Its permit numbers are as you typed them, not checked with the county, and its finish day is the put-in date of the things you attached.
Your own AI
If you connect an AI app, that app and its company are not part of Tasaab. Its answers are its own words; the figures in them come from your record. It can only propose — you decide what is kept. What it reads is handled under its company's terms, not ours.
Don't copy Service Book
Use Service Book for your own home. Don't scrape it, copy it, or reverse engineer it to build, train, prompt or specify a competing service. That covers its pages, its house tags and what they show, the ways it checks things (the leak check, the beep test, label reads, the zip's own check), its data formats, and the insurer summaries. It covers doing it yourself, with a script, with an automated agent, or with an AI tool that takes a service apart. We may end access for anyone who does.
Your own data is still yours: you can download it, open it with any tool, run it at home, and read your book with your own AI. An insurer can read a summary you shared with them. What this rule forbids is using Service Book to make a rival to it.
The way Service Book is built and the way it checks things are Patent pending (Tasaab LLC).
What the Service Book is, and isn't
The Service Book, by Tasaab LLC of Mercer Island, Washington, is an organizer: a ledger of a property's things, their maintenance, repairs, projects and the people who worked on them. It is not a licensed home, structural or fire inspection, and it is not a seller disclosure statement (Washington's Form 17, RCW 64.06) or any other disclosure the law requires.
Its electrification ledger counts the facts you kept about a thing. It doesn't say a thing qualifies for a rebate, a tax credit or a valuation; the program, the tax office or the appraiser decides. For a club or business facility it is not a Clean Buildings compliance report, an energy audit or a benchmark under RCW 19.27A.210.
Nothing is kept until you keep it
What an AI reads, what the phone reads from a label or a receipt, and what a contractor sends through your link all wait in Waiting for you as proposals nobody has checked. Each becomes part of your record only when you, or someone you authorized, tap Keep. Until then it is not part of your record.
What may be sent
Photos and files of the house, its things and the work done on them. Every photo is checked before it is kept, and one showing sexual content, graphic violence, disturbing images or hate symbols is refused, as is a PDF with scripts or attached files. We may end a link, or a House Book, used to send such things, and report illegal material to the authorities.
No warranty
The pilot is provided as it is, without promises that it is free of errors or always available. To the extent the law allows, Tasaab LLC is not liable for losses from relying on the report or the Service Book without a licensed professional's confirmation. To the extent the law allows, Tasaab LLC's total liability for anything arising from Service Book is limited to the greater of $100 or the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Stopping
You can stop using the Service Book at any time, and delete your Service Book yourself at the bottom of your Service Book. For anything else, write to info@tasaab.com.
